Larson Grandkids

A while ago I wrote about how Scott's parents are moving to England. Well, all the family was here earlier this month for my brother-in-law's wedding, and we decided to get a picture with all the grandkids to give to Rod and Linda for a Mother's Day/Father's Day gift. We also decided to get all of Rod and Linda's kids in a picture too. Since they really aren't taking much with them to England, we thought that this would be something that they would love. And they did!! They turned out sooo good! Despite some seriously upset little ones, I think this picture is precious. We had 7 kids ages 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1, and 5 months. (Tanner is the lone boy in this bunch of girly girls!) Talk about a challenge for the photographer!! It was chaos. But it was totally worth it! It would be funny to see a video of what parents to do to get their kids to be happy and smile. There ought to be a hidden camera in those studios....

Portraits

I had Autumn and Tanner in for some portraits together on Tanner's 1st birthday. I fell in LOVE with this first photo!! I was amazed that any of them turned out good because Tanner would NOT sit, stand, or lay still. Plus, Autumn drags and pulls him around all day, so to get Tanner to hold her hands, hug, or sit with Autumn was a challenge in itself. Nevertheless, we came out with some pretty good pictures. Here they are for you to enjoy!

TAGGED: Unspectacular Quirks

1.Link the person who tagged you. (Whitney)2.Post these rules
3.Tell about six unspectacular quirks about yourself
4.Tag six fellow bloggers by link

1. I have to have the toilet paper roll going the right direction. The paper needs to be coming over the top and hanging down towards you. It just isn't right any other way.

2. I usually have to eat something salty after something sweet. It just balances things out.

3. I can walk into a room and spot a "non-straight" picture or sign and it will just drive me crazy until it's fixed.

4. I am totally paranoid about raw meats. I have to wash my hands like 5 times after touching and wipe everything with Lysol wipes about 5 times too. Which is a little funny considering I would eat raw hamburger when I was little because my brothers told me to. Totally grosses me out now!

5. I always rinse off my dishes. It takes about 2 seconds, but when you don't do it, it's a lot harder to get the dried up nasty food off!! Which sucks when you are the one doing the dishes.

6. I love chocolate. I have to eat some everyday. Which inevitably adds to my girth! Darn that chocolate! It's a love-hate relationship.

Super Yard Sale

Oh yard sales. One of my favorite things to do is to go yard sale-ing with my girlfriend Sophia! Too bad the 30 minute drive from Kennewick to Richland puts a bit of a damper on doing that lately! This picture is of Sophia and I a few years back. We dressed up in some of the yard sale merchandise to attract some customers. I think all we attracted were some funny looks! :)
My sister's and I put on our second annual Super Yard Sale. We had about 8 contributors! Me, my sister Becky's family, my sister Kristina's family, Kristina's in-laws, my mother-in-law, my brother-in-law Matt, my brother Ken and my Mom and Dad. We were pricing and setting up for a week! But, I don't think any other yard sale had as many comments about being as organized or as well advertised as we did! My incredibly talented Mom sewed some gigantic signs to put up in our yard and in our neighbors yard advertising the sale. We had tons of people stop and tell us that they only stopped because of the signs...they weren't even yard sale-ing! My Mom had a little helium tank so we attempted to make a balloon arch, but we ran out of helium so it ended up being half an arch.
We had a constant flow of customers from 7 am to 2pm in the afternoon. People were still coming as we were trying to clean up! My Dad said he counted 35 people there at one time. But we got rid of a lot of stuff! Yes! Nothing feels better than de-junking! It is always amazing to see what people do and don't buy. Things you would never think would sell, end up selling and vise versa. I guess it validates the old saying, "One man's trash is another man's treasure". We ended up making over $1300 in that 7 hour time period. Pretty good.
