Lake Chelan

Memorial Day Weekend we went up to Lake Chelan with some of our good friends. If you have never been to Lake Chelan, you should go because it is beautiful! We camped at 25 mile Creek State Park and were at the very back of the camp ground right up next to this fast flowing creek. It was pretty sweet. The camp site itself was not the greatest. Major ant infestation right in the middle of it, but we had a good time non-the-less.

It just started raining right when we got to the campsite, so by the time we had everything set up, we were all pretty soaked. We strung up this huge tarp, not realizing until it was up, that it was an old one and had holes everywhere. (we later replaced it with one of the new ones)

The guys kept joking about white water rafting down this creek. They thought about going and buying an inflatable raft. The creek went all the way down through the campground and emptied out into the Lake. Well, a little later, these two random guys come back by our site and are carrying an inflatable raft. So we all jump up to go watch. They are totally drunk. They put their raft in and both hop in and go riding down the creek. A little while later they come back and come farther up, with encouragement from Brad, and do it again. Only this time, one of the guys almost falls when he is trying to jump into the raft. But as soon as they are in, they both crack open a can of beer and take a drink as they are bouncing and rocking down the creek. It was pretty funny. We are going to try to go back next year. But we'll probably try for the other State Park. It was a lot nicer.

Camp Wooten Trip

This is a bit late, but back in April, two of my sisters went to Camp Wooten with Jason Lee Elementary school. Well, my sister's hubby Doug and I decided to make a little day trip and bring up the kids on their last day at camp. We had a good time. The kids just loved to play by the little creek/river, whatever it is. They threw rocks for as long as we would let them. Why is it that throwing rocks into water never get's old? They would also throw in a pine cone and run up onto the bridge and wait for it to come out from under the bridge on the opposite side. Uncle Doug also helped the kids shoot some pop cans. They thought that was awesome! Tanner and Cannon had a good time running around the woods as we were having our picnic lunch. After that, they both pretty much passed out in the car. It was a fun little trip.
